Child Nutrition - Updated 09/10/20

100% Remote Model (beginning 09/09/20)

  • Walk-up service (Mon-Thu) for daily hot lunch offering (and cold breakfast for following morning) will take place at Sultan Middle School (SMS) and Gold Bar Elementary (GBE) for one hour each day (11:30 am to 12:30).  Meals for Friday (and Monday breakfast) will be distributed on Thursday. 
  • The following alternate pickup locations/times have also been established.  Child Nutrition staff will be on-site to provide meals to all children birth to 18 years free of charge (thru 12/31/2020).  PLEASE NOTE - meals will be delivered via use of motor pool vans, not buses (as was the case in Spring)

Hybrid Model (Student Re-Integration Plan) – beginning 09/14/20

  • Includes all the service offerings of the 100% Remote Model in conjunction with in-person feeding for students present on all campuses.  Meals for Sultan Elementary School (SES) and Sultan High School (SHS) students will be prepared at Sultan Middle School and transported to these buildings for distribution 
  • AM Session – will receive a hot lunch offering prior to departure from campus as well as a cold sack breakfast to take home for consumption the following morning
  • PM Session - will receive a hot lunch upon arrival at campus as well as a cold sack breakfast prior to departure to be consumed the following morning
  • In-person service time(s) will be staggered from walk-up/delivery
  • Consumption of all in-person meals will take place in the classroom or off-site. 
  • Classroom dismissal will be staggered so as to minimize the number of students awaiting meals in food service areas and to promote social distancing.
