What should you do if weather or emergencies force changes in school or bus schedules?

How can I get notified right away? 

The District uses the Flash Alert System for Emergency Notifications. Sign up to receive emergency notifications at:  flashalert.net/signup

Flash Alert allows parents, students, staff & community members to receive immediate notification regarding emergency announcements and school closures/delays at the SAME TIME as the radio and television stations. To receive your emergency notification by email or text message, register at the link posted above by entering in your email and clicking "subscribe."

If "School Closed ": all schools are closed. No out-of-district  transportation will be provided. No AM/PM facility usage. School related programs and use of school buildings are cancelled.

If "two hours late":
No AM Elementary/Preschool classes. No in-person classes at SMS/SHS/SVO. No out-of-district transportation. PM Elementary classes will start on time. Buses on snow routes will be specified.

If "limited bus transportation": Schools offering in-person learning will be open but bus routes may be adjusted due to snow, ice, flooding, or power outages/downed power lines. Parents will need to drop-off/pick-up students at their designated locations or directly at the school.
