Sultan Middle School Families, there is no school November 7th and 8th due to conferences. There is also no school on Monday, November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day.

Venture Out Club went on their first adventure on Friday to Vertical World North for indoor climbing! Everyone braved the climbing walls and did a little bouldering too. Traveled home with sore forearms and smiles! We can't wait for the next adventure!

Boys Basketball and Girls Soccer practices start today, October 28th, after school until 4:45pm.
You can still sign up on final forms! Be sure your student has a current sports physical, they are good for 2 years.

Come enjoy the spooky sounds of our Fall Concert at SMS! With so many band and choir students we have two performance times. Choir performs at 6pm and Band at 6:45pm.


Upcoming Board Meeting Changes:
-The Sultan School District board meeting on Monday 10/28/24 will not be in the SES library. The new location will be in the SES Music Room at 501 Date Street, Sultan, WA 98294.
-The 11/12/24 Study Session is canceled.
-11/18/24 will be the only board business meeting in November. This is due to the Board of Directors attending the Annual WSSDA Conference in Spokane from 11/21-11/23.
-The 11/25/24 Business Board Meeting is canceled.

Our lost and found area on the stage is getting full! We will be donating these items at the end of the quarter on Nov. 6th. Please remind your student to check the lost and found during lunches or before /after school.

On Friday, November 1st, we will be holding our first adventure for Venture Out Club! We will be traveling to Vertical World for indoor climbing after school at 1:07pm. It's $10 a person and students can "sign up" by turning in their signed field trip form to Mrs. Kelly or the front office. Packets are available at the office. Only 30 kids will be able to go so sign up fast!!

Parent/Teacher Fall Conferences will be November 6th 4pm-8pm & November 7th 8am-8pm.
The Conference Scheduler opens October 21st!
Parents & Guardians will need to have access to Powerschool in order to use the scheduler.

Schedule with your student's 2nd Period Teacher Only! The 2nd period teacher will have your students progress report for all classes. After that there will be opportunities to meet with any other teachers as they are available.
How to schedule your conference:
Open a web browser. Go to your School's Powerschool Parent Portal.
Log into Parent Portal with your username and password.
Click on the Applications menu in the upper right hand corner.
Click the PowerPTC menu item to schedule your conference.
Click on Conference Schedule.
Select the date you would like to schedule your appointment on.
Select a starting time for your appointment.
Click 'Build Your Schedule Now!'
If you are scheduling for more than one student, you can switch the active student you are scheduled for by clicking on the 'Select a Student' link from the left-hand menu.
